Element Case Debuts Sexy Joule Chroma iPad Stand

There are more cases, stands and docks on the market today than you can throw a stick at. The numbers keep on growing too. The latest iPad stand to surface comes from element Case and it is called the Joule Chroma.
The stand comes in several colors including red, pink, orange, blue, white, and black. They all have a satin finish for no glare and the satin finish will help them avoid gathering fingerprints too. The device has a three-position foot on the back that allows you to tilt the screen of the iPad at three angles. To change the position you just pop the peg out of its hole and put it into the other.
The stand is machined from a solid chunk of aircraft grade aluminum. The company takes that chunk, uses a CNC machine to etch out the shape, and then anodizes the metal for a long lasting, durable finish.
Inside the stand, it has color matched Ultrasuede that helps prevent any scratches to your iPad and looks good too. The peg that props the stand up is attached using magnets. The only downside to the stand is that it sells for $149.99. That makes this solid chunk of aluminum cost more than many docks on the market that have speakers built in. The Joule Chroma doesn’t charge the iPad or anything else; it just props it up and has a cut out around the home button and the speaker. The stand will work with the iPad or the iPad 2.
